Wood Working Tools

Wood working tools can be primarily divided into

  • Hand tools
  • Power tools

For centuries simple hand tools were used to give the desired output. Some of the basic hand tools are-

    1. Bedrock Bench Plane – This is the ultimate equipment to provide stability. Developed in 1900 by Stanley, supports the iron right to the heel to provide clean and easy carving.
    2. Basic Block Plane- this tool dates back to Roman times but still continues to be very handy to peel the wood fine, thus finds a suitable place in every wood worker’s box.
    3. Chisel- this is the simplest yet the most important tool. It is used to clean the mortise, to square corners, to set in hardware and for dadoing
    4. Handsaw- used for cross cutting and ripping, you can opt for either manual or motorized saw. The range includes flash cutting, short toolbox saw, Japanese saw. Choose depending on your requirement.
